2017 California audio show July 28-30th

I plan on going Saturday. Last time I went, it was not too crowded and I could see everything of interest in a few hours.

I attended today (Friday). Not a big show, but, I still enjoyed it. It seemed that most of the presenters used some kind of computer or tablet for their source material. A lot of rooms did not have a CD player, so, if you brought a CD and wanted to hear music you were familiar with, you were out of luck. Vinyl and turntables were reasonably well represented.

I found talking to the representatives from Audio Technica and ASC (tube traps) very informative.

Overall impression was the exhibitors tended to play the music too loud and there were too many overly bright sounding speakers, however; there was a good amount of really good sounding exhibits and equipment too.

Recommended.

Parking at the hotel is $8 day. I used the free parking at the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline park parking lot just a few blocks away.
