Hello again:
So, in a galaxy far, far away, in the not too distant past, I screwed up.
Shocking, I know.
I was (and remain) fighting to get rid of a hum from my Sirius satellite radio dock, and thought I had turned off the Marantz, and well... a little smoke, blew the fuse, and I cried. I pulled the cover and can see which two were harmed, on the top board on the right, but I don't know much about this, so I simply pulled the unit out, and purchased a 2252B as replacement. The 2252B helps with power to all the other speakers wired into it throughout the house and around the pool, but I don't like the second phono jack much, and miss the layout of the 2238B.
So, someone tell me my best bet here to fix it correctly. I have found a couple places here locally who seem knowledgeable, but I don't have big bucks to fix it, and when talking to them feel like fresh meat. I'd like to repair it and give it to my son, who is also a musician and gets it. I still have the original box and manual.
Best,
SJ
