Need to replace the power switch on my 2250B.
The non-original switch I'm replacing has a red and orange wire sottered to the back leads.
(no snubber cap)

The new switch I ordered comes with a snubber cap.
Is it a good idea to install the snubber cap to the new switch? Or will it screw things up?

Thanks for your help!

The snubber cap suppresses and arc which happens when you open a switch that feeds a transformer. This prolongs the life of the contacts on the switch. So yes it's a good idea to install the snubber cap.

In my experience, the two different physical installation points are electrically the same.
