Yeah, mine are graded to use for this purpose I think. Just not sure if it all has sense, if the snubbers/arc protectors are the reason for the power-off pop. And I am a bit afraid that the original are better and maybe they are still fully operational. Maybe I will figure out how to measure/test them.I'm by no means an expert but I have heard from some that a typical film should not be used in this position. Only caps that are safety rated for mains voltage/frequency should be used.
I would imagine they are more robust and can endure more of a beating than typical films and will be less likely to burn up?
They're cheap enough to order and you have two others to listen to until it arrives.
