2285B faceplate

Has anyone ever bought a faceplate (replica or the original) from these eBay sellers; littlekaren1459, shelleyshopshop ? It appears to be one and the same person, although I was told one is the distributor and the other is provider, something like that.

If you are in Europe, would not it be way too expensive to buy anything above EUR 200 from US (due to the shipping costs and the import tax)? Does anyone do any kind of restoration in Europe?

I thank you in advance,

Sergey, our very own member wlhd1610 took over production and provided a superior product, you may want to contact him directly for specifics.
Can't speak to EU pricing or resto's

“littlekaren1459“ is wlhd1610
And shelleyshopshop is TMZ2
I’m pretty sure Tony is still making the face plates and Bob is doing the distributing for him maybe someone else can chime in to verify that.
Also a link to TMZ2 Instagram page known as Marantz 19

Thank you much! Now that makes it clearer.

I tried to buy a faceplate from Tony, he asked rather high but not unreasonable price for it, and then added the eBay fees that he would pay for the transaction on top. So far so good, but then eBay added their shipping and the import charges on top of it and that came rather steep. I told Tony I was not quite comfortable about it and he immediately canceled the deal. Frankly I made myself look like an idiot, but then on the other hand the total amount just did not sound like reasonable either. Now that I know it I would probably buy from them directly.

Thank you for the info!
