25 Watts of Single Ended Glory

Well, it is finally finished. Over 100 lbs. 25 Watts per channel before clipping. Single Ended 211 tubes with AC filament supplies. Hum is only 4mV. Unbelievable.

I will bring it to the next TX Bottlehead meet.

Don’t believe what people say, SIZE MATTERS! :D

Seriously diabolical...next time I think about the double decker at the sandwich shop I'll try not to ask for tubes on it :lmao: :thmbsp:

Wow...very nice, and 25wpc SE to boot? I'd love to have a pair like those, I bet those 211 tubes are unobtanium?

NOTHING is unobtanium. You just need money.

Chinese 211’s are between $25 and $150 each. NOS 211’s are around $200 each.

You to could have a SE 211 amp for under $4K

I bet it was harder getting the pair of old UTC chokes for the PS than getting a good pair of 211s. Nice job Lee. Where is the next Bot Head meeting?

I have been collecting the parts for this amp for the last 6 years. The parts were not hard to get just time consuming.

The next meeting is at Chris Lambert's house in Lockhart starting at
noon on Feb 5th. Bring beer and vinyl. Luther has posted a map on
his Lone Star Bottleheads web page.
