    We had about 8" in Northern VA. I was going to Community College then.

    I don't remember that (I was in college in B-more at the time). I do remember a horrible Nor'easter we had in MA Halloween 2011.

    We had no power for four days.

    ... I also remember the "Perfect Storm" Nor'easter of Halloween 1991. That one wasn't so bad at our (well inland) location, but it was terrible on the coast.

    Snow is something we never get in Sydney. It must be an eye opening experience.
    Also, the salt they need to throw over the roads to prevent ice ups must be brutal on cars under chassis.
    As beautiful the spectacle, cold regions and snow take their toll on existence.

    This was January, 2016, Western NJ....I think we got around 28 inches....as you can see, it was over the arms of my patio chairs....
