7.2 receiver checkout

Anybody have any idea how to easily put a test tone into a channel of my choice on a 7.2 receiver? I don't want to play a movie with all the speakers playing whatever is going on. I'm suppose to be looking for intermittent noise on a couple channels. Any ideas?

Is the level calibration signal not what you want to use?

Normally you can cycle it manually to every channel, but considering it's sort like noise itself maybe that won't get you what you want?

If you have a computer with digital output often they have the capability to output tones/signals to individual channels in the sound settings/configuration stuff.

So I wanted a tone I could control but that is how I ended up checking it out, using the noise generator. It would be nice to have a digital source to test the dac also. And naturally its NPF. Guy had two channels not right, his source was digital.
