9090DB cap replacement question

Blue Shadow

Waiting for Vintage Gear from this century
Found cap C01 bulging on top on the F2619 board. Installed is a 100µF 35V but the SM shows a 47/35.

Do I need to await arrival of a 100/35 cap or can I use a 47/50 or 220/50? Here is the board scat.9090 Ca.jpg

My recap list says 100uF/35V. It means that's the cap that was there out of the factory, like yours. The SM is known for it's inaccuracy and lack of updates. I think wait for the 100uF cap.

I concur. The only time I would question a factory install was if it was obvious that someone had already been "working" in that area, or if there was a known bulletin advising a correction.

Thanks, Now I have more parts needed.

I tried to do the DC mA bias and well the unit won't come out of protection now. Guess that fancy bypass and then the adjustments were too much for the amp. No wonder we change those VRs when we rebuild these amps.
