I have a mcintosh 252,mcintosh 2205,mcintosh c39,mcintosh c28,yamaha bda 1060,technics sh 8020,sl 5300 turntable,ultra power pgx 500 conditioner. Jvc rx 8042 surround with bose acoustimass 10 series 4,cerwin vega d9 and bose 901 series 4. I have refoamed the cerwin d9 and the bose 901 myself. The c28 preamp is hooked up as a slave preamp to the c39 preamp. I had the c28 serviced and replaced all the lamps with led lighting, looks and works great. Comparing the mc 252 up against mc 2205, they compliment each other and match nicely. The mc 2205 is a little warmer in sound but the mc 252 is a little tighter and works effortlessly for hours on end. The only down side to the mc 2205 is not having xlr connections ,same as my slave preamp ...c28.

I,m look in for a oracle mark2 turntable. As for speakers, still in search for a nice match that is in my budget. Being in canada, lack of options for used audio equiptment. Canada...eh lol
