acoustic ceiling tiles

I was in the dress store in the coastal town in northern Michigan. Shopping with the wife, honest to God. Saw the ceiling tiles. Offered the proprietor $$$ but she declined. However she did let me poke them with a stick and they are foamy.

Anyone ever see this before? They might look great in my new listening room. Thanks Mike

Haven't seen that tile - its pretty cool. If you google architectural ceiling tile or decorative ceiling tile, there's a whole world of choices beyond the "pressed paper with buckshot holes" drop ceilings. I searched "acoustic ceiling tile" when I did our room & missed a lot of opportunities because of it..... should have spent more time shopping.

Search for "styrofoam ceiling tiles", and you will find similar.

They are usually foam based but not very acoustical. As Jazznord mentioned google styrofoam decorative ceiling tiles.
