Hi,
I'm new. I have a 2015, 5020 and a new 2245 in addition to Kyocera R-661 and DA-601cx.
I just got this 2245 on ebay. Cherry unit in a wood case that doesn't have a nick on it. Got it for $150 on a BIN which had just posted. Great timing.
Anyway, what I hadn't considered is that there are only two open inputs on the 2245. The AUX and TAPE. I wanted to run my CD, cassette and TV. What to do?
I ran RCA cables from the output of my DVR cable box to the inputs of the 5020. Here's the good part. When I hit the DOLBY FM ON button, the audio from the TV comes through. I don't know why it works, it just does! So that enables me to run 3 components through the 2245 instead of only two.
Maybe one of you techies can tell me why it works.
By the way, this 2245 is THE sweetest receiver I've ever hooked up!
Thanks
