Victim is a JVC QL7, I'm thinking of putting some nice wood veneer on the plinth and buying a new arm. What would be a good low mass arm to upgrade the UA 5045 (245mm)? I really like the Vintage AT carts, right now I'm listening to a Technicraft 4000 on a straight Harman Kardon Ito arm. I'm thinking I could find 9" arm and it will pretty much be plug and play, correct me if I'm wrong. Would it be worth while to add a couple pieces of 3/4 particleboard to the bottom of the plinth before the revenner job to beef it up? $600 budget on the arm.
