Advice needed - Altec Lansing Model 15 horn

I'm refinishing / restoring some model 15s and just put new surrounds on the woofer, now I discover that the horn isn't working. Further inspection shows the tiny, tiny wires that connect the plate (the speaker wires connect to) and the diaphragm, well one of them is broken. I soldered the two wires together (which was a bit of a challenge for old eyes and hands), but I'm not sure of how sturdy that will be. Has anyone successfully repaired this wire, and did you use solder or use another wire/bridge to connect the wire plate to the diaphragm? Thanks in advance....

I've done it with larger diaphragms - no issues with longevity, at least as long as I owned them.

I’ve done both (flow solder to bridge the wires or solder a new fine wire) to “dead” Altec diaphragms and so far no problems. It probably helps that I only use SET amps.
