Howdy folks,
Amazingly useful forum here! I'm a 53 year old American living in France for the last 28 years. Audiophile since time began. Graduated to electron tubes about 25 years ago and got stuck there. Got very sick from audiophilia nervosa, spent a lot of cash but have since recovered and now enjoy the music. Still detest horrible sound and have become a incorrigible tweaker/optimizer. Can't even count the stuff I've owned but still rely on the tubes for pure sweetness. Finally ripped my CD and vinyl collection, now everything is streamed through modded tube-stage DACs and frankly, I'm not turning back. Just bought a Marantz 2220B and have come here to learn about modding it with recommended upgrades without killing myself. Good listening to all!
