Amplifier of the year....

Someone just sent me an email about this month's edition of TAS (pg. 40). The Absolute Sound has awarded amplifier of the year to.. McIntosh MC402 and MC2102. Just like Burger King, you can have it your way, tube or transistor!

That is amazing given there are so many amps out there in the big $$ bracket. The champagne corks must be popping.

Listener magazine (MA2275), Stereophile (MC501, MC275), and now TAS (MC2102/ MC402). All of these magazines have reviewed the gear and the reviewers really liked the sound. They all have bought amps for their personal sytem. We have had other manufacturers also buy amps this year. Yes, it is a complement.

Hats off to the designers, those who construct the company's products, and all support staff. They must be doing a superior job. I thus wish to whisper four words to McIntosh's president: How about a raise?
