Another Transistor Sub?

I have not had any reply in the Marantz forum http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/model-16b-transistor-subs.694431/ so trying here. I am working on a Marantz Model 16B that has a bad JS3678 (Q9/11) output and a bad SS9306 Q3. I have seen MJ15003/MJ15004 suggested for the outputs, but no confirmation that they worked. acetate used 2N3440 for the SS9305 Q4 with success. 2N3635 is as close as I could find in a PNP to the 2N3440. Any input would be helpful.

Looks like the 2N5416 is working. The amplifier board voltage looked good but no click. I moved on through to the relay board and found an open 750k ohm resistor R39 in the relay supply. Click! Next will be the outputs. I have the set from the other channel in it right now. I will put in the MJ15003/MJ15004 when I get time.

Thanks llwhtt for the info.

Where has the time gone? I ordered the outputs and on the shelf this one went and now it's three years later. Well i got this down and started working on it but had not notes as they were lost in a hard drive gone bad story. When I started looking for outputs I found my own thread. So I found the MJs put them in and it is now playing.

SJ3678 = MJ15003 NPN

SJ3679 = MJ15004 PNP

SS9305 = 2N3440

SS9306 = 2N5416
