I’ve been a big Eric Anderson fan since I first heard his album “Blue River”. So a few weeks ago I buy a R2R titled “bout changes n things - take 2”. First listen and I am really enjoying it - then I hear “Thirsty Boots” the great Dylan song. I think Wow that’s a nice version of Dylan’s song. Wrong - Eric freakin wrote it - blew my mind. This guy is GOOD.

I'm a big fan too. Violets of Dawn was a great song - that hasn't aged too well - but he wrote lots of others as good or better. When his career stalled here, he moved to Scandinavia somewhere, where he lived for quite a while IIRC.

I saw him live quite a few years ago at a small venue back east. Just him and his guitar, very good.

Yep, great songwriter and singer. Not sure why he never got more attention.

Because his recording company lost the tapes to one of his best albums for 30 years or so.
