yes they are listed for less than $100 so any info on them?

The presence of a dome tweeter is in their favor. The big Japanese audio companies all marketed speakers intended to accompany their "rack systems" . For the most part, cone tweeters were used and woofers, regardless of size, would have puny magnets.

As mentioned, a dome tweeter to me indicates somewhat of a step up from absolute bottom of the barrel. They're not going to be an audiophile's delight but if you've got a big room, aren't the world's pickiest listener and like music a bit on the loud side, for $100 they might do.

hi im looking speakers for a small room, its like this,i used to have a technics speakers SBL50 in it for a long time, then i sold them and got a pair of Cambridge Audio Aero 6 (not aero max),and i just cant get used to them(and i probably wont)i think i need to get a "american type sound" instead of european, that are more for jazz or classic.

what you guys think about the active
Krk Rokit 6 G2 monitors?..(i hate when you copy paste and it appears in caps)

Nick

Those Technics are from their 80s/90s SB series - okay, but nothing special. These were usually bundled into a rack system and built to a fairly low price point. I've had a pair from that series, and while I maintain a large collection of speakers those are no longer in my collection. I will say that these sounded better than the Pioneer CS series of the same era (like in your other thread) - less harsh on the top end and more bass, however they were still just okay.

There are usually better options to these at just about any price.

That's my opinion.

Technics SB-A52, SB-A53 etc.

SB-A53 have dual 12" woofers and handle 260 watts.

BFD! None of that has a single thing to do with how they sound. They've been labeled "craptastic". I agree with that thought.

There are plenty of speakers that sound better and don't cost more.

That was an argument ourVP of sales had with Technics distributor, Great turntables every one wanted, OK electronics we could only sell if we almost gave them away and then were the very undesirable speakers no one wanted.
