I am in the market for a au-517 does anybody have any views on this piece.it is here locally so i can here it work and all.what do you guys think of it?

I think it should be a very nice tuner. IIRC, it would have been second to the TU-717, a very highly regarded piece.
The Sansui definitely looks like 'open for business!'

Bully- you mightve overlooked the AU instead of TU (no big deal)

The AU-517 is certainly a very good Sansui integrated amp, so if youre interested in it, by all means- check it out.
