Any Rega fans out there

I got this Rega Planet CD player and it really sounds amazing. Just very musical and smooth and nice to listen to. I have a nice dac but not sure I want to use it with this. It is really nice as it is. A buddy of mine suggested using it like it is and the on board dac and it sounds really good. Was curious if others liked the Rega players.

A Rega Apollo was the first CD player I heard that I really liked.

I still play my Rega Planet 2000 CD player, think it's 16-17 years old. I've loved the player since I bought it. No harm in doing a test with your DAC and reporting back as to which, onboard v standalone sounds better...to you...
