Any Steppenwolf fans here?

Their 3rd best song. Sounds great on my system LOUD.

I love the way the organist uses the distorted Hammond as a percussion instrument (not so much in Pusher though) and has a sound and style all his own. Greg Rollie also used to use the Hammond as a percussion instrument in Santana, but not the same.
Another Hoyt Axton gem.
Off their self-titled first album. Also the first LP I purchased back in the mists of time.

Of my first 3 hand me down LPs 2 of them were Steppenwolf. Live and 16 greatest hits. The other one was some Three Dog Night LP with one on it.

I actually saw them live at the Santa Clara County Fair back in the 90s. Those guys sounded like they just arrived from the early 70s. :D

John_Kay_-_All_In_Good_Time.jpg F14937607.jpg Also worth having in your Steppenwolf collection are all of the solo works by John Kay.
'All in Good Time' and 'Lone Steppenwolf' are 2 offerings well worth having. Dude can sing and play the blues no doubt!
