One of the clips broke on my vertical blinds. Are these replaceable and how the heck do you get it out and back in?

I'm sort of a expert as where I work I use to assemble the tracks. I take it you dont have the broken piece anymore otherwise I'd say just crazy glue it back on.
On some tracks the "carrier"(the piece that moves back and forth) the piece that holds the vane will sometimes be removable with a special tool and sometimes not and if that's the case the track will have to be disassembled and a new carrier put in provided you can get one. I'd start checking the yellow pages for blind repair places and see what they say or call the place you got the blinds from. Hope this helps for a start.

If you have the broken piece, hold it up in place, then run a piece of thread or fishing line thru the slot in the slat, around both sides of the clip, and tie the front and back half together. Another loop above the slat will help..The valance will hide it.

Thanks! I do not have the broken piece. And this track was here when I bought house 12 years ago and it had cloth valences with cross rod on bottom of these clips.

That was my next suggestion to mcgyver it lol. He doesn't even need the other piece to do that I'd drill a hole through the remaining piece after I crazy glued the vane to the remaining one and run a wire through it

If they are the same as what I have pictured, no. It is a tight snap in R&R. I still have tons of them from my apartment/time share maintenance days.

The gear at the top, is how the slats turn to closed, or open position.

This "key" is a position stop. When inserting the new one, you'll want to ascertain the correct positioning. The old one should snap out from left to right, then down. Reverse for the new one.

If you can snap one of the originals out, you'll know for sure. There's just a few different styles.

Here are some more pics of the broken one

The two holes look to be where you'd need to squeeze, to release the vane clip. One would be to release, the next set, to clamp once the new clip is installed.
