I recently watched a documentary film Dion made about his experience playing with Buddy Holly in the 1959 Winter Dance Party prior to Buddy's fatal crash in Iowa. (I found it on YouTube.) It was interesting to hear a fresh perspective on that particular rock music tour experience. I learned a lot about the various performers backgrounds and personalities. He remembers some of the details of that fateful evening's events differently than what's been fed to us via "The Buddy Holly Story" bio-pic and other documentary films.
