Anyone know anything about the Realistic STA-240?

I found an ad on CL that listed a Realistic STA-240 for $35. It looks like it might be from the early eighties of late seventies. Interestingly it looks like it has an analog tuner, but also a digital readout. Does anybody know anything about more about it or more importantly if it is worth piking up? Thanks in advance.

It's in the 1980 catalog page 10. 60 watts per channel. I would pick it up.

realistics are crap! really!

Kind of torn by being too helpful. Especially lately with threads blatantly extolling specific models.

don't mind links to the Realistic archives. At least they can research their own.

There are still some Realistics I want to get a good buy on. But the more publicity and easy access, the more the prices go up. :tears:

I agree w/ya Terra. I've been aware of this for sometime.
I think we would be wise to launch a political campaign and slander the hell out of the Realistic label...get the popularity off of the radar and let the bad press return to its norm.
