ARC setup - PS4, Soundbar and TV

Possibly a dumb question, but is this the best possible set up?

This is the gear:
PS4 (old one)
VIZIO SB3651-E6 36 soundbar
lg 55uh6030 TV

Currently my set up is as follows:
PS4 HDMI out to Soundbar HDMI in
Soundbar HDMI (ARC) out to TV HDMI3 (ARC)

Last night I tried this, but there was no sound:
PS4 HDMI out to TV HDMI2
Soundbar HDMI (ARC) out to TV HDMI3 (ARC)

I am just wondering really what the best set up for video/audio should be... Thanks!

I would get the TV/sound bar working before adding the PS to the mix.

I hate to ask, but have you checked the manuals? Normally for ARC there are some settings that need to be checked/enabled.

The current setup, PS4 (source) to Soundbar, Soundbar to TV uses ARC and it works. I guess my question is more if doing PS4 (source) to TV, TV to Soundbar would improve anything...

Think about it. You noticed the PS4 audio wasn't passed through the TV to the sound bar when you fed it through the TV. Does that help answer your question?
