Attach wire to EZ Hook XL1?

Picked up a few of the long EZ Hook XL1 test clips (clips only, no attached leads) but before I wreck something figured I'd double check.

Presumably the button end just pulls off so I can solder on the lead wire?

Know how you feel.I had picked up a bunch of those from a local supplier a while ago and went through the same ''how the heck do I do this?'' experience.

I wanted the leads to be really flexible,preferably silicone insulated to prevent soldering iron mishaps,but much smaller than regular test lead diameter.I ordered a box of these from Amazon,and boy,was I surprised at the quality! Very nice insulation,and the conductors are a huge number of extremely fine strands.This stuffs like a wet noodle
