Hi,
I have owned my AU-317 II amp for about a month now and I have only just got around to using the mic input and realised that there is no pre amp out unlike the AU-317. There was no manual when I bought this so I could not check this out for sure.
So I have run a cable from the tape output to my computers soundcard line input and I have been able to record from my TU-317 tuner into Sound Forge. But I cannot record vocals using the mic-in which is a shame because it has a nice sound through the amp.
Ever since buying this amp I have considered getting the AX-7 audio mixer as well but I am not sure now if this is going to be a good idea if I cannot output from the mic.
I would be grateful if anyone with knowledge of this amp could advise me if there is a fault with the mic-in, my cable setup or perhaps it was just built that way.
Thanks in advance
