AU-X301 on Ebay

I noticed something I hadnt observed before, a label in the back which apparently says 'Made in Taiwan'. I wonder if this was the case for all AU-Xx01 models and afterward ??? This particular unit is an October 87 model which has the new logo.

That's interesting, and I don't have any au-Xx01 amp but I've taken a look at my D-900W cassette deck and it was made in Malaysia!! (that particular model is nothing special though)

I'd think their upscale series were continued to be made in Japan.
