Hi
No information about current but Voltage
If you are lucky you can locate the built in fuse which cause the open primary. It might happen that the fuse isn´t too deep in the windings.
I can't repair the fuse unfortunately as this is an encapsulated toroidal transformer
I tried to get the thing out, but it was damaged in the process...
But I can aproxximate the currents now using the diameter of the wires.
The wire of the power amp secondary is 1.6 to 1.7 mm in diameter (Which I guess would be approx. 7 Amps ?) and the preamp secondary measures approximately 0.5mm (approx. 1 Amp ?).
Could that be?
I only get aprox. 400 Watts with that, but the label on the back of the amp says it could pull 820 Watts, but it would give app. 180 Watts per channel which is correct...
@Doug:
Sorry, the only number on it was on the transformer taping itself (Only visible if you scraped off all the encapsulation stuff), but someone had cleaned up my workplace and thrown that away
