You can see the big black front pieces laying off to the side in the other pictures of the red and gold room.

A couple of the rooms seem to have that sort of set up. Again, I've seen quite a lot of that sort of "craftsmanship" in what is supposed to be decent abodes. I'd take a small solid rancher over one of those flimsy McMansions with the shaky springy floors.

If that is the Tyson mansion in Southington Ohio, I live about 30 minutes from there. It has been abandoned and exchanged hands at least a few times that I know about.

This was his place in CT. It was all about big and not much about quality. 50 Cent bought it and then I think resold it for pennies on the dollar. The plywood shelving is no surprise.

I think this is what happens when you go from living in the hood (I know that sounds cliche) to having enough money to buy anything/everything you could ever want. There was no time in between for him to acquire taste of any kind.

I don't know Unca G., the bling might have gotten in the way of that area also.

Remember that Fruit Of The Loom parody with the former boxing champions dressed up as fruit? (I think it was on In Living Color...).

Sugar Ray Leonard: "I'm an apple... because I was so-polished in the ring."
Muhammad Ali: "And I'm a banana... because I was good to a ripe, old age."
Bob: "Why are you a bunch of grapes?"
Mike Tyson: "Because some b*tch stomped all over me."

God, that is some of the worst interior design I've ever seen in such a big place. It looks like Tyson told his interior decorator that he wanted "casino-chic". Love the gold-painted ceiling and the white-tiger-print carpet. I live about 10-15 minutes from that place. It's pretty-well-hidden, and now I know why.

(Unrelated, but here's another great In Living Color parody - This one's by Jim Carrey and it's priceless)

Had to go upstairs and look..... yup that's a Pioneer CT-W604RS cassette deck; just like mine that I paid $7 for in a pawn shop......

And I want my $7 back.

    ;)

I agree. Not exactly high-end. Like that VCR (I think it's a VCR). I have a Sony SLV-760HF sitting unused in the other room that probably smokes the one he was using.

Hey be careful you lot, Mike might be an AK member, and take offense and running down his pad, I am not saying anything bad to upset Mike because I wear glasses and can't afford to go without ears:D

Basically, this is the level of quality and attention to detail one gets unless the general contractor is motivated to do better. Which requires an owner who knows what quality is and invests the time to make sure he's getting it.

You know, that gives me an idea. With the size of that great room I am sure a black-jack table and some electronic slots would fit in there without any problem. You could make the first gambling casino themed bed and breakfast. I'd get the pool fixed first unless you want to tout that as an exclusive indoor lagoon. With all the furniture in the pool, it actually resembles the lake behind the greek row frat houses at James Madison University.

Moved to Off-Topic forum, since this thread really has nothing to do with audio.

The interior of the place looks like 90's one-hit-wonder Rap Star. Surprised to see such cheap stereo components. No wonder no one took them.

I heard Mike Tyson had quite the ear for music, but he must have bit off more than he could chew.

    Oh well.
