I am enjoying the Studio master downloads from the small independent musician/engineer cooperative Sound Liaison tremendously.
This small Amsterdam based label is able to compete and even better the big ones, musically as well as sound wise.
Reference Recordings is another example.
Also I see more and more musicians selling in many cases excellent recorded albums straight from their web site.
Triosense is a good example of this direct approach.

Sound Liaison DSD

They have released the Sound Liaison downloads in DSD as well.

They have raised a storm of discussion on the computer audiophile forum, because of transferring method.

But in my opinion they sound great, at least the 2 I have had the opportunity to listen to, maybe less transparent in in top, but very warm in the whole frequency spectrum.

Gimell is great. Linn is another good one.

They do the 24-bits of Christmas where they offer 24-ish high res downloads for free. They may still be available for a few more days.

Linn is great - but sadly, The Blue Nile is no longer one of their artists ...
I did just dload the 24-Bits of Christmas - thanks!

I've taken a break from record cleaning my LPS to download the 24 bits of Christmas , thanks for the tip! I'll listen after the Dizzy Gillespie Bahiana 2-lp set finishes

And now there is one true DSD download from the label;

It is Christmas at Linn :)http://www.linn.co.uk/christmas
Christmas Collection
Download free 24-bit Studio Master music — the highest quality available anywhere.

Linn’s final gift comprises a magnificent collection of music designed to get you in the mood for the festivities.

Your soundtrack to a perfect holiday season concludes with The Avison Ensemble’s elegant and gracious capturing of a Corelli classic, Robin Ticciati and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra & Choir’s ground-breaking performance of Berlioz's ‘Shepherds’ Farewell’ from L’enfance du Christ, and the simply stunning ‘Hallelujah’ by Dunedin Consort.

If you want to download an album in high-resolution from the AIX Records catalog, please send an email with the name of the album, the file type you want, and the mix perspective to mwaldrep@aixmediagroup.com. I’ll make sure you get the files you want.''

The AIX records website is still up and running: https://www.aixrecords.com/welcome/

Dr. Waldrep is still posting to his blog. Here is a link to some free sample HD downloads: http://www.realhd-audio.com/?page_id=2

2 https://www.soundliaison.com/ albums have won Best Album of the Year 2019 at Native DSD.
Both are ''One Microphone Recordings'' which means they are completely phase coherent and have a superb sound stage.
highly recommended albums.
.....These guys and this recording just rocks. Pace, rhythm, tone and soundstage are just off the charts.
The precise placement of all four of the musicians perfectly matches the photos of the sessions.
The balance of all four instruments is darn near perfect. As you can no doubt tell, I am a huge fan of this recording.
It is one of the best in terms of recording quality I have ever heard. Of course, and as always,
your view of the actual music content may vary quite considerably from mine.
Nonetheless, I think we would all agree that this recording sounds sensational....

“This ensemble proves that this repertoire has lost none of its luster. The simply fabulous recording quality is a benchmark for the possibilities of current recording technology. It is a new benchmark"..- Jazzenzo.

It's possible to participate in the audience award for best album at
