The one I am referring to is the Sansui CA-F1
The parts arrived from Digikey. It's going to be awhile before I get to the soldering iron.
Tell me; how should I set the values on the Bourns before I install them ?
Should I measure the resistance on each leg of the VR's in my left channel ?
That's the channel that didn't blow a Sanken.
They are factory set at half track resistance when you receive them, that's good enough for most things.
You can do, I guess with the idea of setting the Bourns replacements to the same resistance? - not a bad idea providing you read across the correct legs on the replacement trimmer when setting the resistance.
Remember EVERY major change you make, whether it be 'parts' or 'wiring' or whatever, should trigger the use of the DBT for the first power-up after each of these activities.
