Barney Oliver intergrated amp. - negative feedback design

the amp was 50wpc and used full complementary symetry output design and used 2n3055 output transistors.
I am looking at the "The Barney Oliver Audio Amplifier" schematics in the manual, they use Motorola MJ802/MJ4502 in the OPS, there is not one 2N3055 in the design. I see they also use the 2N5401/2N5555 the old work horse's still do the job today. I find it amazing that they still sell many of these devices.
If I am really bored I'd like to simulate those circuits.

I have a BO Amp...s/N 341... never used... bought it when a brother-in-law worked at HP during the time the project was created....
along with a copy of Bose spkrs in kit form... that ended with a letter from Bose :)
I made good use of the speakers over the years.

There is a section here called Bartertown.
For a $25 annual membership you can list it publicly here, there would be lots of interest.

Here are the pics...

Yep, back in the 70s I used 4 and 6 pin Jones connectors so I could move my car deck (or speaker rigs) between various vehicles - but never really liked them.

My 1929 Victor RE-45 Microsynchronous Electrola console has them for the power supply/amp chassis connections.
Like mine/not mine.

I wonder if they were common on HP test equipment?
They did seem antiquated to use in 1973, but then again, I’ve never had a connection problem with them.

Probably the older examples. HP got jump-started by providing their new audio signal generators to Disney Studios for 1930s Fantasia Fantasound production.

What an awesome bit of history!

My top 3 Disney productions are:):):):)
1. Fantasia
2. Fantasia 2000
3. Frozen II

Dare you to watch Frozen II with an open mind!

Barney Oliver to Elsa, what a digression :)
