This may sound kind of tough for some of you who know Mark's situation. So be it. I'm exasperated, and out of patience and it looks like I may be out of my amplifier and $200 as well.
In a nutshell Mark's wife is ill and I feel terrible for her and Mark however an illness is no excuse for ripping customers off and that is exactly what is now happening. In my case Mark told me in mid September that my amp would be shipped back to me on September 19th then he just disappeared. He has been off AK since September 26th. I called him today but his phone's mailbox is full and not accepting more calls. So, it now looks like my only recourse is to drive some 7 hours in hopes of catching up with him in person. But that's a long drive and a huge gamble to take.
I'm hoping that others who are in the same boat, and I know of two who are, will come forward as well. Then, hopefully some AKer who is local to Mark or has another way to contact him, will see this thread, and let him know that he has some very unhappy customers.
I understand life isn't always fair. I also know if my wife was seriously ill I'd be a basket case. But I value my word and when I enter into an agreement with someone I do whatever is needed to fulfill my end of it. It's what is right and what is fair.
