Quite simply The History of Scotland presented by Neil Oliver which aired on BBC One Scotland in 2008, and 2009 is the greatest TV documentary about the history of Scotland that has ever been. Presented in 10 episodes Neil Oliver who is a member of Clan Cameron dramatically walks the viewer through the history of the Scotland. Some of the stories will bring tears to your eyes. A story that illustrates the brutality of Scottish history is one were a baby girl was kidnapped by King Alexander and her head dashed against a stone pillar.
The beautiful soundtrack for this wonderful documentary was composed and conducted by Paul Leonard-Morgan, performed by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and uillean pipes by Jarlath Henderson. This Soundtrack can be found on Apple Music.
