Best “cheaper” McIntosh Integrated?

Can someone please state what the specifications for a straight wire with gain are? At least I'll know when someone is close.
I think this was originally an assesment in a review for the then new Citation 12 60 WPC solid state power amp, the solid state replacement for the Citation 2 tube 60WPC power amp.

Have and have used both MA-6100 and MA-6200, but also the MAC-4100 (ie, the MA-6200 + MR-74 receiver). I love the function, features, and sound of all three of 'em. They are stored away now but if I'm ever "back" @ a 110v grid I'll break 'em out, but only after a bit of recapping, etc.

I would appreciate input regarding using an MA6200
with the Magnepan MMG’s. Is the 100 watts into 4 ohms enough?
I listen to 95% jazz on vintage vinyl. My room is about 500 square feet.

Thanks

According to the manual, the MA6200 should fit squarely into the recommended amplifier power range for that model. Not certain why the amplifier recommendation is quoted for 8 ohms when speaker impedance is supposedly 4.
