Rotel RB-5000 / RC-5000 from a German forum
And my own Marantz SM-1000
These look like my web servers.
These are works of art:
Since a few of my favorites have been mentioned already, Pass Labs for one, I’ll offer up two of additional favorites,
SS it would be a pair of Accuphase A-60’s
Tubed would be a pair of Luxman MB-300’s
I like the all business look.
My 2 favorite amps at the moment...
They sound every bit as good as they look.
My nomination is for the Epicure M1. Not to everyone's taste to be sure, but I really like the combination of the black monolith look with the wood end caps. Very sweet sounding and strong amp as well.
Oh, what the hell, I'll vote for myself again....I ain't shy. Here is a pic of the amp I am building at the moment. I am just finalizing the scheem and this is the mock-up for placment.
The Luxman and Sansui amps knock me out as well and I am just plain frightened of that tall black thing.
I gotta admit, it does have it's charms.... :thmbsp:
I think a pic of yours with todays newspaper is in order
I have always liked this one
and this one has intrigued me
Here's Jeffery Jackson's Amp powering Jon Ver Halen's Lowther/Tone Tubby open baffle speakers at the last VSAC. The base is a sheet of plywood (4x8 ft?).
Caucasian Blackplate's Cold War amp, also at VSAC:
Two vastly different interpretations of beauty.
Japan has some great music/audio magazines!:yes:
I found this, very rare...but love it!
Of course I am somewhat biased...
Did the remote die?
My Adcom is so butt ugly i'm tempted to scrap the case and put the chassis under glass..
Luxman is not too far behind.
My M 05 is no slouch but I think it would be much nicer with the rack attachments. As usual, thevintageknob.org has a pic that keeps me coming back for a look.
I have the 1024 but I have the 1412, even though the 1312 is the same width.
But to my mind, the tuner is superlative, and not only looks-wise is it awesome the sound, if given a good signal, is superb.
