these old beasts are rated for 10-65 watts if memory serves me right. I'm looking for a good quality power amp Or integrated amp that would work well with these and their characteristics. They have advent fried egg tweeters to replace the aging Fisher tweeters. The sound is great to me, very warm with a fantastic midrange.
I've seen a Marantz PN7200, which has a 25 watt class A mode, and a Nakamichi 420 which is about 50 watts.
I currently run a Hafler XL-280 but never on the fishers as I'm afraid that hooking them up to a amp this powerful may inadvertently damage the basically impossible to replace drivers in them.
My only pre amp is a Parasound P3 Halo.
