To add to my March 22nd post: ESM-1s (rear-port, stitched rubber surround woofer) at $25, and my latest find, a pair of grimy Paradigm 7se large bookshelfs at a thrift store. $17 with taxes in. They cleaned up beautifully and sound fantastic. The Energy units I will be moving along; The Paradigm's are going nowhere any time soon.

Infinity Kappa 7 $30 AUD ..
Needed refoaming and Crossover fix...
did that... and used them for a while... then sold them off to buy more speakers:rockon:

Klipsch kg4s at a yard sale for 25 bucks. Used them for years but they ultimately turned me off to Klipsch. Sounded great on half the
material, harsh and unforgiving on the rest. Though admittedly I've never heard Cornwalls or Khorns, or any Klipsch speakers with tubes.

Marantz Imperial 6s for $45 off of CL. All they needed was a coat of Feed N Wax.

I wish my Imperial Six's looked that good! Of course mine were only $2.25...

The veneer was pretty dried out but like always, Feed N Wax brought the finish back to looking new. The bottoms are pretty scratched but who cares? The CL ad had them listed for $60 but I politely asked if the lady would take $45 and she said yes. She had owned them for a long time and did not want them to get damaged by her toddlers so she sold them to save them so to speak. I drive them with a 2220B and am head over heels in love with them. Imp 6s for $2.25 is the buy of the century if they sounded good.

Well, mine have some problems. All I did to them so far is replace the mismatched tweeters with the correct phenolic cones and recapped the crossovers. They look like they've been scraped and stained by everything imaginable, but they sound so good. I don't care since I'm usually the only one who sees them!

Domus Mirage pair in perfect condition $45.00
KLH 6's $!0.00
JBL L96's $20.00
JBL E30's $10.00

Plus many others that escape me at the moment.

What do you think about putting a sock or some other type of filling in the port to supposedly improving the bass? I love the sound of them but I have seen posts about doing it.

(sorry for the thread hijack)
