Have this BIC 1000 everything worked except it needed damping paste. Carefully removed the parts to get to the lift rod, not that complicated. Applied the paste and then reassembled it. But the arm would not go past the last band into the dead wax. Kept hitting something. So I lifted it up and moved the arm back and forth. Saw it was hitting this sensor switch? that is attached to the red cam center screw by a bracket. The pick up lever seemed to have to go between it's notch. Must have bent it out of position while working on the lift rod, So I kept bending it till the end of the P/U lever passed between the slit. Put it back up, everything still works except the end of record trip. Could I have damaged the switch when the lever was hitting it? I looked in the VE SM and it does not even show or mention this switch. Could it have been a latter change. Sucks. Any ideas?
