Blue book onfo on Onkyo Integra M-5090???

Ok, replying to an old post I know.

I have the same amp in black. Yes it is a beast but I would say it is one of the best I've seen. I bought mine used from a shop with the matching preamp. Mine has a hum in one channel, sometimes it goes away and sometimes it is worse than others. I've been told it is a grounding issue and I've been told it could be a capacitor.

I know if I send it to get serviced it will be at least $300-500.

Any thoughts/ideas on the cause and how to eliminate the Hum ?

Open a post mentioning the hum and other issues in the general audio discussion thread, we have many techs here who may be able to help you solve the issue yourself. The amp is worthy, and should get the attention it needs.
