What's that anomaly on the top left next to the chair (that wavy ripple bit)? It's not moire. It also shows up left of the dog (like looking at a topology map). Is this in the original photo, or was it introduced when you scanned the photo/film?

it's a newton ring. it occurs when you scan directly on a flatbed's glass layer using the normal glass.

I only have holders for 4x5, I actually use a dedicated (though inexpensive) 35mm scanner for that. So the MF shots here were directly on the glass of my Epson. I don't shoot medium format currently as I've tried most of the (relatively) modern options out there and found them to be lacking in some way. One I haven't tried is the Pentax 67 so I might pick one up later this year depending on how things go. 4x5's quality is rewarding but using a technical camera can be trying.

You joked about me owning a Hasselblad, but that's not the camera for me. I'm not really a system shooter + I prefer eye level shooting.

Just got my Fisher R-200 restored and installed alongside my Scott 222C.

A couple I shot this afternoon while enjoying the 75 degree temps and a nice afternoon sun for light.
