    My System at the Fest!!

Here is the small system at the fest. I used a Denon PMA-500V integrated amp, A Pioneer Elite DV-45A Universal Disc player, Monster cable speaker wire (oxygen free stuff), and AR interconnects. I had two sets of speakers at the fest - Royd Envoys (on the Sanus stands - being played) and Rogers LS2's.

As I was not there; perhaps a stupid question, what did you do with the beds in the room? It looks like you set up where the beds were....

My Secret Santa and Mrs. Secret Santa!!

This is a picture of Bigmacc and Mrs. Bigmacc. He was my Secret Santa last year - I was able to buy some stuff at Elusive Disc because of this!!! I bought "When Genius Loves Company" Ray Charles on Dual Disc SACD and "I got the T-Bone Walker Blues' by Roy Gaines. Both are excellent discs that I highly recommend.

All the people I met at the fest were fantastic. I can't say enough about this group!!!

Echowars is in front. Kamakiri and Grumpy are to the right and behind Echo. Mrs. Kamakiri is right behind Echowars. I just wanted to point out a few people for all of you.

Jimbecky/Retrostereo combined system. It sounded great!! Those Walsh 4's are great sounding. The amps were a Pioneer Spec 1 Pre and Pioneer Spec 2 power.

P.S. I like bright sounding systems!!!

The dogs on top of the speakers are sound tweaks. They make the speakers sound better!!!!

I didn't take many pics, as I had my own listening room to man (and I had quite a few people come by!!), but I will post as many pics as I can.

WHY did you take that DAMN PICTURE!!

I think this was what Grumpy was thinking, as I took this pic. Reel to reel is on his left and my wife, Gloria, is on his right.

    Some of BrianB's stuff

We had the chance to see the Shanling Speical Edition CD player - WOW!!!! The speakers were from Shahinian Acoustics. The amps were Blue Circle. We were lucky to have a Blue Circle engineer with us for the two days.

    Salk Sound Speakers

WOW!! They were as beautiful to look at as they were to listen to. The wood veneer is Waterfall Bubinga. Jim Salk makes beautiful looking and sounding speakers. We were really lucky to have him at AK Fest this year!!!

    NOS Valves

Craig, from NOS Valves really builds beautiful tube amps. Here is one of his monoblocks which were powering the BIG Altecs. At low to medium volume, in this room, the sound was fantastic.
