BSR 2260 BX , anyone use this table?

Hi friends

I want to ask about BSR type 2260 BX
- is this table same as BSR 2260 AG ? what is the differences?
- is this table quite lovable to use? how about the quality of mechanics?
- about tonearm, what is the material? plastic or metal?
- is this table can use with standard cartridge nowadays?

From the pictures I’ve found it looks like a bog standard BSR changer that was found on many cheap UK music centres and record players, but that was put into a plinth for the US market. As to your questions:

- it looks or be very similar
- I don’t know what “loveable to use” means! The mechanics quality will be OK. For all their low quality generally, BSRs are usually fairly reliable.
- the arm has a metal tube but a very basic headshell that will only take a single hole mounting ceramic cartridge with VTA that is far from optimal.
- I don’t think so.

In summary, I wouldn’t bother. Especially as you already have much better turntables, as I recall!
