My good tech friend stopped by last month to relax and to listen music, and we started talking about bucking transformers. He has large collection of transformers he has bought for the last fifty years from Hamfest and radio shows. I do not have these kind of parts so he said he would look and see what he could make, and here it is. All but the meter he had in his very large inventory of parts. Meter is from China and shows Volts and Amps. He has named it the "Line Voltage Corrector" It offers buck or boost of 24 volts +. or - and + or - 12 Volts in a bead blasted castDSCN0747.JPG DSCN0748.JPG DSCN0751.JPG DSCN0752.JPG Pictures show range of buck or boost This makes possible powering Japan gear at the correct 100 volts if I had any of that which at this time I do not.

Here it is working with one of my restored Fisher 500-C. I set on 117 V 500-C is drawing 1.1amps. Sorry for the sorryDSCN0759.JPG picture
