Buying internationally - options to protect shipper/buyer

I’m pretty sure I’m going to pass my Kenwood KA-7100 on, not because I don’t like it (I love it), but I think my LS50’s could do with more than the 60wpc they’re getting.

So I have my heart set on a Kenwood KA-8100 as my last amp but they’re just not available in Australia and ones with adjustable voltage are limited too.

I’m in talks with a chap on the auction site about one but then discovered one in Ontario Canada for much less.

I was wondering what options there are to strike a deal with someone internationally and protect both parties by doing something like cash on delivery so neither party bears any risk.

If it’s not as described, damaged etc the buyer has a safety net, if it’s received in as described condition, the seller gets their cash.
