I know of someone who owns both. They once mentioned that they both sound very similar, quite surprising the age difference. He gives an edge to the newer C22C, however, he does not use the phono.
Well, I took the plunge and bought an original C22.
When I posted my question here I didn't realize that, pretty much, the same folks hang here as at AA (where I had posed the question a few days ago). Thanks for your responses!
