Help! Where can I get a volume control pot for a CA-2000?
(Too many years on the Oregon Coast.) At this point, I'm ready to drill the holes for 4 pots on the front panel, anybody the know the ohm range? This is an adaptable unit, I am currenty controling the out put thru the BA-2000, and a Pioneer graphic equalizer. I want to get this fixed, PLEASE.

Keep the drill in the tool box!
Its unlikely you will find an original unless
you can find one out of a scarp unit.
I’m sure someone will speak up if they
know of anywhere there may be one.
It is possible to use a different style of control.
It would be a case of matching shaft diameter and shape,
length ect.
And then matching the method mounting, most use
threads at the base of the shaft then holding it in
place with a mounting nut. Would also need to
know the size of the mounting hole on the chassis.
The Ohm value should be marked somewhere
on the outside of the control. While your at it
see if the manufacturers name of the control
is marked anywhere. Also list any of the other numbers
that may be present. Once we know all the details of the
original then we can see about coming up with a suitable
replacement.

You didn't say, is this a Yamaha CA-2000? Is the control four coaxial pots for volume and a fifth one for balance? I have one from a CR-2020 that is OK.

He is referring to the Sansui CA-2000 preamp. BTW, the Sansui AU-11000 & AU-9900 models use the same Volume control as the CA-2000, unlike the CA-3000 and AU-20000, which are a bit different.
