Was that positioned just for the photo or do you really have your speakers so close together?

Unfortunately I don't have too much room to work with so that is indeed where they stand. I am subject to the WAFF (wife approval and functionality factor). At moderate volume it sounds quite good but no doubt spreading them out would allow for higher levels and far better imaging.

I snapped some quick pics of my CR-1020 as I'm listing it for sale, trying to buy a CA-1010.
The receiver is in untouched, original condition.
Next to it is a YP-D6 that is about to undergo a full restoration, as well as the NS-200M speakers. The amp on the floor is a P-2200.
    Happy Easter everybody!

Time to brag with the fully restored CA-2000 (Japanese 100V CA-2010) :D

Since today paired with a matching CT-1000 (Japanese CT-1010) to match the beautiful yellow wood veneer of the CA-2000. The CT-1000 has the internals of a European donor CT-1010 because the Japanese FM band is different. So now it has the common FM band and is 220V.

While I'm at it, this is the CX-1000 I acquired this weekend. Time for a Kenwoord L-1000C Vs. Yamaha CX-1000 shoot out

Mr. Yamaha, very nice stuff. That Micro Seiki DDX-1000 looks really cool, too. Kinda like a Terminator turntable...
    Here's a couple Yamaha pieces that I veneered in zebrano wood for a friend: CR-620 & YP-B4

Wow, that's a great veneer job  Yeah, I really like the looks of the Micro. I always wanted one. When I ask guests at home tho guess the age of this table, they all think it's a very modern and recent table. But it's 70's :naughty: How would this table even look at that time? Must've looked like something from outer space.

Herr Yamaha, do you know what kind of wood came on these Japanese market components?
    Thx!

many recognize it as best tuner ever built.
I was tempted to grab the last black one that sold on the auction site a few months ago...
    Congrats!

Fortunately, here in the UK, the BBC announced plans last month to abandon its FM switch-off plans, which is great news! As an aside, I actually bought my Yamaha T-1 from a chap in Norway who was selling it because of their switch-off. He was very sad about it, but I promised it a good home.

And, stoutblock, that CT-7000 is lovely - the black one is a rare sight.
